oh, not to mention tht our 'old lady' is the ugliest vehicle among the lot, hehehe.... at 1st we called it 'tanker' as it really looks like one, with the big body and ugly appearance and even the 'gun mouth'(wot? i dunno wot it's called, where they aim and fire the bullets or bombs, wot is it called?). a gp even has a pirate flag on their vehicle =) and some made really good looking ones, with colourful and eye catching aesthetics =) i'll try to post them up here once i get a hand on them ok?

one of our most exciting assignments - make something go around a 'moon' tht is to be powered by the springs of not more than 2 mouse traps of a typical made. tht's all the info given. ofcoz there's a complex equation describing how we'll get higher marks. we hav to maximize the distance travelled, maximize the return journey distance, minimize the error of landing pt, and minimize the left-behind mass. we can make 3 launches and the one with the maximum performance index will be recorded.

discussion before the 2nd launch. we 'played save' on the 1st launch placing the 'moon' a bit nearer to 'earth' than the calculated and experimental distance 'old lady' can usually achieve. now, after having a reasonable result in the bk, we are going to go for the maximum usual performance.

the reason it's called 'old lady' is bcoz it moves really slow, as we are pushing to the limit of the springs' energy to maximize our distance. afterall, speed of vehicle is not a factor in the performance index, hehehe...

Well... my Industrial Training is supposed to be over on 23rd of April... but I have a horrific thought that my lecturer may lengthen the period... please don't please don;t!!!!

Second project that I am putting myself through is a big one. Will tell u guys if I pull it through. If not, no point telling also. But I am kinda down because one person turned me down to be a team mate. Big time bummer.
