Totally forgot about an unfinished post. Now here it is.
"If you want to know someone well, go on a holiday trip with them"
~ A friend of mine
Back from the Penang trip, I'm really glad that I went... not only has Penang good food, hills behind and the beach in front, good friends of mine... but also the great side effects that it brought -- my sister's friend has lost my family TOTALLY. The beauty of the whole affair was, I didn't even do anything. She just busted herself, showed all her true colours just like that.
Things that happened are too entertaining to not tell. OK, for those that are not familiar with this friend, her name is Jennifer. She has been sticking around my house for the past two months, earning the trust and attention of my parents. I even quarreled with my parents because of her. And, on Monday we went on a family trip to Penang. I had opposed very much to her going, but she turned up anyway.
The trip was from Monday till Wednesday.
Major events
1. Monday night at 2am she woke up our whole family (by making loud breathing noises and pretending to fall out of the mattress...resulting in a loud crash) coz she couldn't tahan sleeping on the floor. Sulked at the sofa until my mum ask her to come onto our bed to sleep, and then I spent the whole night sitting on the couch because 4 ppl on a Queen-sized bed is too cramped. Can't lie coz of length of couch too short. And SHE EVEN ASKED MY MUM TO CHANGE SLEEPING PLACE WITH HER. Fuck her.
2. Tuesday she spent the whole day sulking because she didn't want to walk long distances, didn't want to get under the sun, didn't want to eat hawker food, didn't want to go up Bkt Bendera....etc etc. Not to mention, trying to manipulate my sister into not going up Bkt Bendera.
3. She puked on our car on Tuesday night. We weren't even on a winding or bumpy road. Luckily I was sitting in my friend's car (Penang friend). As for my family, they were pretty pissed. The genius vomited outside the plastic bag.
Performances for unknown audiences
1. Sang huang2 mei2 diao4 for the whole trip, from Monday, till Tuesday when we went on to Kek Lok Si. We met ppl from UTAR there, and boy they were staring like hell.
2. Danced ballet on top of Bkt Bendera. She was sulking at the train station on top of the hill, while we walked around. When we returned to the station we saw her swirling around. (We saw her from afar, and tried not to show that we knew her)
3. Did yi4 zi4 ma3 when room service people came in. In front of my dad, with short pants on, although she changed later. We were watching TV and noone took notice of her.
4. She had set her hair into prom-style because on Sunday she had a concert (the night before the trip). She didn't wash it till Tuesday night, and every day she sprayed mousse on it to make it hard. My Penang friends totally couldn't get her. Nor did me and my family, for that matter. She asked my sister to wash it for her. My mum was unhappy because she treated my sis like a maid.
Faked illnesses
1. She told my mum that she got diarrhoea 3 times on Monday. If only she had stopped her singing and dancing she'd have looked less healthy, then we would've believed her.
2. On Tuesday morning she told my mum that she had an asthma attack on Monday night (that she woke us all up). Now, my sister was seriously asthmatic when she was little. You think my mum couldn't differentiate between a real attack and a false one?
3. The puking we suspect she forced out because there was no basis on why she would have puked. =_=
Give her my Middle Finger
1. Told my sister she wasn't fit to go out with her on Monday night when she went out with her Penang relatives. She said that my sister didn't bring clothes that were nice enough.
2. She asked my dad to peel her stupid crab for her. I mean, WHO DOES SHE THINK SHE IS? In front of my family and all my Penang friends somemore. My dad hammered her crab for her, and that was it.
3. On the trip back, because her place in the car was very hot (sunny), she jia3 jia3 told my sister that she let my sister sit at her place, and she sit in the centre, because she "was afraid that my sister would be uncomfortable sitting in the middle". What a sneaky person... it is so damn obvious that she couldnt' tahan the sun anymore, that's why she were so "nice". Luckily my sister saw through that.
4. She told my sister that my mum is "really terrible". For making her sleep on the floor, etc etc. My mum actually got flu after the trip, because she was sweating that night because of menopausal heat flushes, and still had to get up to ask how she is, give her sweater, then at the end ask her to sleep on our bed.
Satisfaction
1. That her place in the car was sunny and without shade, during the morning when we went up North, and on Wednesday afternoon when we went down South.
2. Her attempt to guide us around Gurney Plaza (the most 'in' mall in Penang) on Wednesday was foiled when I suggested we go to Kek Lok Si for the second time(on Tuesday we went once) because we still had souvenirs to buy. Actually I made the suggestion because I knew she hated the climb up the hill... Anyway we did climb up Kek Lok Si. Padan muka dia, muahahahahhaa....
3. My Penang friends hated her as well, and nicknamed her "Palace Chan". Chan, as in Japanese word for "Little".
Actually I think there are other stuff... But I can't remember already, because it happened a week ago. Anyway, she has now quarrelled with my sister, and is going around bad-mouthing my sister to her friends. Worst thing is, my sister's friends believe her. Oh well...
